# Asset Notebook

Context for assets

Every asset maintains a notebook where business users can supply contextual information about the asset or maintain notes.

Depicted below, a user is adding a note to an asset. The note is viewable only to select parties. On transfer of the asset, the new owner does not see the notes written by the previous owner.
